18 carat gilded 9 carat gold and Ruby Salamander brooch

Description

16th century AD. The gold original, set with rubies was recovered from the wreck of the Girona. It was regarded as a charm against fire. Ulster Museum, Belfast. Length 40mm. This brooch has  Rubies specially cut by our lapidary to match the original piece. It is possible to have this item changed to a pendant and supplied with a 9 carat gold chain (at an extra £400.00)
